Divergent Voices is back for 2017! In addition to publishing student stories, U-FUSED is inviting you to be a student speaker at the 2017 Divergent Voices Event. Just check the box on the form saying you would like to be considered as a candidate. This is your opportunity to inspire, to motivate. This is your story.
UFUSED (United for Undergraduate Socioeconomic Diversity) and SVATT (Sweater Vests as Tank Tops) present: Heard it Through the Vineyard Vine!
Students will share stories of how they felt a pressure to dress a certain way at UVA and how that made them feel. Afterwards, there will be dialogues with moderators on fashion inclusivity at UVa.
There will be food provided, thanks to College Council and the Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs! Please fill out this google form to indicate your attendance!
Hope to see you all there!

Um… WOW! A success!!! So thank you all for the support, and we hope you’re realizing right about now that you are not alone, regardless of what your socioeconomic situation is like, so please join us in eliminating this stigma of being a low socioeconomic status student.
Welcome back everyone!
It’s another year, and UFUSED plans on doing some great things. Come to the interest meeting to learn more about UFUSED and how to get involved. You can start by signing up for the listserv, following us on Twitter, and liking us on Facebook 🙂

UFUSED is starting an Alumni Network that connects graduated and graduating Access UVA students with Access UVA undergraduates. This is a great start to building a strong support system for low-income students who may not have as many resources or connections for jobs or internships. Any Access UVA students (doesn’t have to be part of an organization) who would like to participate, please fill out the google doc form!
Joining MRC has gained us some attention, and UFUSED is so grateful! The Cavalier Daily interviewed UFUSED’s support chair, Santiago Naranjo about what UFUSED is really about and striving to do, and Santiago did a fantastic job on representing.
UFUSED is really hoping to create a special family for lower income students. Thank you all for the support!

Also, congrats to UFUSED! We have officially been accepted as a member of the MRC (Minority Rights Coalition). This is a wonderful step for us, and we can’t wait for the progress soon to come! Thanks for all your support 🙂
